Drawing Amsterdam Dailies Days 101-150

Grouped by Finished Drawings

On October 1st, 2020 I started a project which I call Drawing Amsterdam Dailies. My goal is to show up daily and spend at least 30 minutes working on a drawing. I use pencil, ink and gouache and am using a sketchbook with toned paper - gray, black and tan. My photo references are ones that I took on a trip to Amsterdam in 2019.

One of the challenges I’ve given myself is to draw something from every photo. Basically the drawings are in chronological order. Every now and then I include a map.

I plan to publish this into an art travel journal book. For now, you can watch the daily process and progress here or on my Dailies page.
