Commissions

I was commissioned to make this Hanukkah Christmas stocking in 2023 so that a close family guest could join in the Christmas morning traditions even though they weren’t necessarily hers. The name was machine embroidered and the designs of the menorah and dreidel were cut out from fabric and then free-motion embroidered over.

3 finished pillow covers made with vintage quilt blocks from my client.

Detail of the quilting of the pillow covers.

With other of the same set of blocks, I made one table runner/wall hanging with a light background.

These pillow covers were made using vintage quilt blocks my client’s grandmother had pieced over 40 years ago.

This started out as a table runner and ended up as a wall hanging with the same blocks made by my client’s grandmother and a dark blue background.

I also made fabric coasters from the remaining blocks.

This ink drawing came about from a client who asked that I draw something for a friend who loved trees and being in nature.

This map was commissioned to show the worldwide participation and the many places art-in-progress passed through to create pieces for a community wide effort, eventually shown in the online Creative Gallery

Above was a style of window shades I made for a client. Inside the room was the linen. As she folded up the shade, the stripy fabric on the other side would show. The decision for buttons was made to have a cleaner appearance and to provide less temptation by the cats to play with dangling cords.

Custom Potholders and Coasters

I made these coasters and matching potholders for a client. She told me what kind of flowers her mother liked and then I was free to make whatever I liked incorporating that fabric and colors that would work with it. The potholders made with a layer of ironing board fabric to protect hands from the heat and two layers of old towels.
